You can either hike a fairly easy trail or take a chairlift straight to the top of Cerro Campanario. The views are impressive, with forests, lakes, and mountains visible in all directions, a view that National Geographic voted one of the "Top 10 Views in the World." There's also a coffee shop where you can enjoy hot chocolate and home made pastries. For those who choose hiking, you can walk up a steep track track through lovely woodland for 30 minutes (it might take longer if you pause along the way, but don't miss it) At the top you will be rewarded with a 360 degree fantastic view of lake Nahuel Huapi and Perito Moreno, El Trébol lagoon, península San Pedro and Llao Llao, Victoria island, cerros Otto, López, Goye, Bellavista, Catedral and Capilla; hotel Llao Llao, and Colonia Suiza. In the distance (on the opposite side of the chairlift from the main viewing platform) you can look back on Bariloche itself. It's breathtaking and really worth it.
