Unlike its name in Spanish, the Manso (quiet) river is not always so quiet as it may appear… so get ready.
White water rafting in the heart of the Andes. Reach the border with Chile through narrow canyons surrounded by lush vegetation. Rafting the Manso
Description
** Important: The service includes transfer to the place but if you have your own vehicle and prefer to go on your own, we will deduct $7000 per person from the price. **
We pick up the passengers at their hotel in our van and head down Route 40 up to the south edge of the Nahuel Huapi National Park. Bordering the Manso River, we arrive at our meeting point by the river where we gather for a warm cup of coffee before we put on our wet suits and booties. After the safety talk by the head-guide, we are ready to descend the final section of the Manso River in Argentina. The first part of the river allows us to appreciate the environment, as the river is still quiet and we can enjoy the white sand beaches and watch the waterfalls that splash into the river. Then, the Manso gets more impetuous. On our raft, we will run exciting rapids through narrow canyons surrounded by lush vegetation.
Our trip ends when we get to the Chilean border. The border landmark crowns the place. We load the equipment and start our way back to the base along the road that goes along an old mule's path. On our way, we will skirt streams and cross creeks.
Once at the base we will be surprised by the extraordinary beauty of the place with a breathtaking view of Cerro Bastión. We will have time to enjoy a delicious, traditional Patagonian "asado". Then, we return to Bariloche, arriving at the hotel at around 7:00 p.m.
